This Soviet Mechanical Dashboard Chronograph is designed for military and civilian aircrafts.
In spite of moving into a new generation of LCD panel instruments in new
Russian aircrafts, you will still find this chronograph on every one of them,
including jet fighters (Mig-29, Su-27 and so on) as a back-up due to it's
extreme reliability. Made on Chelyabinsk Watch Plant in August
1988 this chronograph is an example of a highest quality mechanisms made in exUSSR for military purposes.
It carries so called "Znak kachestva" ("Sign of the high quality") indicating that
it has passed the toughest quality tests. Every unit is numbered. The certificate
reads that the average service time of this chronograph is at least 12 years (in extreme environment of a jet fighter!).
